Default newbie need advice

hey guys i just bought a neew vette its got 400 miles on it n i did 140mph, u guys think its to do that before the break in period on a car like this. any advice will be real help.

The owners manual sais otherwise on the break in procedure. Others will say break it in hard. My personal opinion is that one run like that will do no harm, but if you start thrashing it like that on a daily basis before it is broke in there may be long term issues.

For how long i need to take it easy & not to go over a certain mph?

I bought it from the dealer with 0 KM, They told me to break it in for 1000 KM only.

140 in 5th is going to be around 3800-4000rpm, I'd guess. Even less in 6th.

No problem. Run 6th, and you're fine.

break in is not for the engine, it is for the gears - trans and rear end. Also read the brake bresk in proceedure in your owners manual.

Congrats on the new ride.
