I had my engine and trans HP tuned with a Mail-in tune and got
good results with the engine and TM management from a tuner in
Texas, but I am not sure about the A6 trans tune.
On wide open throttle the shifts are more into the power band,
but the 2nd gr shift point is at [B]7000 rpms (redline is 6500rpm).
I realize that this occurs at less than a seconds time, but will the
shift past Redline hurt the engine?
I have mine set at 6600, absolute rev limit set at 6700. (scans show it shifting at about 6550 actual). It seems to work well and a 200 rpm increase should be safe. 7000 seems too high to me and even with headers may not provide a better time in the quarter mile. I also found that the 2009 timing allows the paddles to be quicker on my 2008. Another thing I did not do that I have seen on some tunes is turn off torque reduction on the shift. Until the new version is released that allows us to reduce but not eliminate reduction on the shift, I'll leave it on.

Send me your tune and scan and I can take a look for you. If you send me a PM I'll reply with my e-mail address.
