I'm getting some new wheels so I started looking for a TPMS tool to set the new sensors. I've got an Amazon prime account so I usually look there when I'm looking for something and I found the Autel MaxiTPMS TS301 on there for $120.75.
It's got a display and tells you a little info so I would put it above the more simpler tools that go for a little less, and it cost nowhere near some of the other tools with a display.
It's a little picky about how you position it to the tire and I found this orientation worked more often than putting the antenna to the valve stem.
I figured it was worth the little extra given how many other brands it will work with. It even lets you download the info you scanned into a .htm file you can upload via usb.
I searched for this on the forum and didn't find it so I thought I would step out of the shadows and let folks know about this option for a TPMS tool.
I haven't heard of this tool, but it looks like a good choice if anyone is looking for a tool to work with our sensors.
It looks like it's a completely universal tool that will work with all sensors. The write-up on Amazon says that you get a free one-year subscription to upgrade the tool as new sensor protocols come out in the future.
It says the MSRP on the tool is $399.99, so the $120.75 from Amazon is very good.
