C6- engine noise when cold
I'm am new owner of a 2005 corvette with a six speed. When I start the engine and rev it I can hear a noise possible in the valve body. Once the engine is warmed up it goes away. The engine runs fine other than this issue. A corvette owner told me that the engine does make noise until it is warmed. Any advise or is this normal?

Sometimes the lifters are noisy until they pump up with oil pressure. It should go away though in a few seconds, it should not take until the engine warms up for the noises to go away. I also would not rev the engine at all until the noises stop.

Its tough to discribe but it is a whoosing type noise when you hit the gas. You can also hear it while going through the gears. It seems to go away after it gets up to normal temp
