Dyno'd my bone stock LS3
Our torque box is broken from the heat, so all I got was a horsepower reading and it was:
380hp. LOL.
I wish I had a graph to show, power was climbing REAL hard then BANG it pulled all that timing and toggled between 360-365hp. If I would have gotten a clean pull I think that thing would have made 390, close to 400whp on a nice 55-60 deg day.
I'm gonna hit the track, then it's time for mods
NASIOC that's a name I haven't heard in awhile.. nice to see you again glad you saw the ways and got a Chevy!

LOL everyone's moving over to the Chevy land.
Glad to see alot of old faces around here, you guys keep in touch. You know I try to keep my cars stock but they always get out of hand. Every 4 hours I have to argue with myself why I don't want to put a cam in the car right now, It only has 433 miles on it..

Nothing wrong with 400 miles it's broken in already! I bit the bullet and ordered the Corsa Sports, and I can't decide on Kooks or ARH LTs. I have had both on my Cobra and the quality of both are top notch.
But I am definitely going to cam and spray this sucker. just trying to get some track times before I do so I can keep track of my progress. Makes things more fun, ha.
Now that you have an equal power car it won't be fair. I need a nice power advantage to run even with you.
Props on the Cobra I never heard about the kinda power you made there!

Your right though just simple cam, and spray you can easily do 10's in these vettes. Personally I want to skip the cam/head business and get a TVS or Techco air whistle.

I have had blower/turbo cars and had much experience with the twinscrew cars. The problem I am facing and also have been reading the ZR1's have been facing is high IATs. I was plagued with those on my Cobra and we are talking about a world of horsepower difference (~60hp) when IATs are nominal and when they are high.
I do not want to go through that trouble again, at least not yet. I had the most fun in my Cobra when it was running 10s on a ported eaton/spray combo. Two years and 35-40 bottles through that car on the stock motor and it never had a single problem. All I had to do was change plugs and oil, fire it up and go kick ***. I never lost to a single twinscrew Cobra with that combo and it took a MTI's LS2 C6 with a procharger on it making 711 to make me go twinscrew and try to spray that motor. It went kaboom, but that was after I got some bad gas in it during TX2K6. I was smoking my *** off but I didn't care, I was still out there doing freeway pulls.
That MTI car was fast and still to this day I am surprised as hell from it. I remember Jayson himself telling me how surprised he was how fast that car was for just a D1 on it. We ran many times and even me on spray I couldn't touch that car.
But I have never driven an all motor big cam car, so I'd like something different. I had cams on the Cobra but it had a blower on it so the cams were not very aggressive and it can never sound like a LSx motor.
I am so tempted to slap on a procharger on this thing and call it a day but I really love me some nitrous!
