I just bought a 2005 Corvette with a automatic. It has 14,000 miles on it. From a dead stop I floored the gas pedal and the wheels barley chirped. That was with the traction control off. I was expecting the wheels to light up. Don't get me wrong the car is very fast I am just disapointed from a dead stop. Is there something I am missing or is this normal?? Bob
A computer tune will make it react like you are expecting. The torque management is taming the beast. Reduce TM and it'll light them up with out much effort at all.
Umm..correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't you want the torque management systems to allow you for the best launch possible so that you would get the best 1/4 mile time possible. You will probably win many of race against the inexperienced 6spd driver. Like another poster said, power brake it and light em up if you so desire the need.
Hands down, having my car and tranny tuned is the best thing I have ever done with my Vette. I've driven a lot of high HP cars in my younger days. And in my opinion, the C6 as it comes from the factory does not feel like a 400 HP car should. The tune makes the car act/respond like you would think a 400 HP car should.

Doesn't this void the powertrain warrany? If so, a 5yr/100,000 mile warranty is a lot to give up. Well, unless money is no object, but for most it is
