Steering column adjustment lever fell out!

Default Steering column adjustment lever fell out!
I was absolutly shocked when this happened. I went over a small bump and their went onto the floor? Is this something that has happend to anyone before ? I snapped it back in place, but don't know how it came loose so easily.

Mine did that once too. I was pretty surprised too, but I pushed it back into place and it's been fine since. Remember... these are Chevrolet's.

It may have never been fully snapped into place.
I had to take mine off, and it was not easy to get it to disengage.
