Had a set of tires mounted today. The tech showed me a very noticable flat spot/bend on the inside rim of the front passenger side wheel. Hit a pothole about 2 months ago, never gave it a second thought since it didnt vibrate. After balancing and a test drive, I still dont feel any vibration at all.
BUT, I feel I need to get it fixed. I see my choices as:
1. A shop said they will round out the spot, remount and balance for $95.
2. Replacing it with OEM (2007, polished aluminium.) I have no idea what a new wheel costs.
3. Aftermarket
Anyone had any experience getting a wheel re-rounded?
From: Austin, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Houston, Dallas, Hong Kong, Elgin, etc.. Texas

There are a number of wheel repair specialist around the country. I used Wheel Technologies in Texas for the center of my 3-piece HRE wheel and they did a great job. I got it back in 24 hours, too. They normally charge about $130 per repair if its not too damaged.
I am sure there are a few in your area. Call one of the bigger auto body shops and they will probably give you a recommendation.
I had weldcraft widen some wheels for me they did a great job
However they found 1 wheel bent and they would not widen it, but they said they could fix it, so I had them fix it, well I had them Powder coated, I got them back and the 1 that was repaired was still bent, they offered to fix it, but the shipping back and forth plus the extra PC was too much.
repairing does not always work!!!
when you buy used wheels have them checked, people like us do not realize that these wheels are not that strong, and a potthole will do a lot off damage and not vibrate!!

Choice 1 is the way to go. Relax and dont fix what you cant notice.
If it balanced out o.k. then it's o.k. Just because it has a bend in it where it can't be seen doesn't mean it needs to be fixed. If it really bothers you then take it off, put it face down on a towel, get a short 2x4 and a big hammer and take it out. Then you need to rebalance it. Leave it alone it's fine.
had my front unbent recently for 100 bucks. New ones will get bent just the same. Cheaper to fix a bent rim than other options by far. Mine balanced out no problem. I would go this route again to keep my speedline stockers.
