Default Adding bolt ons without adjusting my tune

I currently just have a catback and ported tb on my 08 LS3. Thinking about adding an intake and headers. Would you guys advise retuning? Would these two mods push the car too lean? I know I would get a little more out her but is the difference between bolting on the parts without and new tune and retuning is less than 5whp its not worth spending the entra cash. Thoughts?

You're probably looking at an additional 20 rwhp with a retune.

If you don't want to recalibrate the car to accomodate the changes I don't recommend you bother spending the money on the parts/pieces. If you add headers and don't change your calibration you are almost certainly going to get a CEL within a few days due to the relocation of the cats.

There's a lot to be gained with the tune both for full throttle and part throttle driving. Once I cleaned up the part throttle tune, my car felt much quickier and more responsive in everyday driving.

Tune is worth the effort running wise. Got to consider the smog and warranty end too though.

Have to agree with all of the above, especially the part throttle tuning. Whenever you change major components, a tune is a necessity and when done right like Ragtop99 said, you will have a smoother more driveable car.

I bought the car to have fun with. Weekend only car. Worry about warranty became hindering to what I what to do. Car is paid for so any problems will be fixed as necessary.
Now if paying payments and used as daily driver and on a tight budget it might be a different call.
