Thermostst question for LS2
In 2004, GM changed the t-stats on LS6 to the old style drop in t-stat. Does anyone know if the 04 t-stat will work in the 06 LS2 housing? Are the t-stats the same?

If the thermostat is the drop in type, it should work. The earlier type was a stat built into the housing. You can't put the pieces into the later model housing.

. Actually, what happened,a friend with an 06 LS2 had a t-stat issue. I had a few of the older style with the t-stat in the housing (97-03) that I had taken apart and removed the t-stat. He ended up ordering a new t-stat but it made me wonder about the possibility of using a t-stat from the LS1-6 in the LS2.
