Cool Tom, with the added verbiage to the listing, it clears things up for me. I was thinking that you would use the factory harness somehow and that got into to overheating above 85% thus the need for the extra terminals.

As you explain the ECM and factory wiring harness is not used so you can get the 100% on the fans so 2760cfm.

Sounds like the relays plug into the extra slots on the relay box?

These replace the connector north of the "terminal block" or whatever it is (maybe a controller of some sort) - not the terminal block itself. The OEM connector melts when the fan is set on 86% or more and dependant on how much and for how long the fan runs. It has nothing to do with the SPAL fans (although I assume they would draw more amps thus make more heat). I searched several electronics catalogs, ie., Allied, Newark, etc., and determined I would make my own. Aluminum is an excellent conductor and was therefore the material I used. After I install I will crank up to 95% and watch the temps drop. The Dewitts Radaitor and Fan set-up is the best out there - the GM connector is underrated for the amount of current one might draw if turning the fans up above 85%.

I'd like to see how your install looks, if you could take a picture.
MTI is currently replacing my Maggie's heat exchanger because of overheating issues, despite the Dewitts radiator. The upgraded radiator hasn't kept my coolant temps down in traffic and Reese is trying a smaller heat exchanger that doesn't block so much of the radiator.
If this doesn't do the job, maybe the dual fan setup will. The radiator alone, however isn't making it.

I would like to also see pic's of the connection at the fuse box. That would be very helpful.

But, here's what you get with the DeWitts Dual Fan kit......

Neg, just waiting to get some more info before I decide if I'm going to keep the fans or sell it.

I'm not having overheating issues with the Maggie, the dual fans became available and figured it would be a good addition to the A05AE.

Guy's
thanks for all your replies!!!
I will be ordering a Dewitts radiator, but no fan setup.
I will use the factory fan and see how it works out, the radiator will surely will make
a big difference.
thanks

I'll bet its the connector. You may want to "upgrade" the connector if it does in fact turn out to be the problem. I understand 85% +++ is the melting point.

yep, connector.... HPtuners set at 100% for heat and AC too. I did a temp bypass and modified tune to 85% until I can get the dewitts fans
