FOB #1 and #2 Question
Now I have two #2 FOBS. Does the FOB know it's a #2?
Can I just program it or will it no provide a "second" memory for a different driver? Does the car "assign" it a unique code regardless it being a #2 FOB?
I could care less that both have the #2 on the FOB as long as all features will work....
I did a searc to no avail.

If you got the car from the original owner, the fob that he gave you originally as fob #2 was probably programmed as fob #2, so it operates the memory functions on the car.
However, if/when he provides you with another fob, it has to be programmed for your car. Since a fob #1 was probably already programmed for your car when he had it, then lost it, you probably cannot program the new fob as fob #1 without reprogramming both fobs.
The dealer might be able to program just the new fob as fob #1, but I really don't know.
You can program up to 4 fobs, regardless of what they have printed on them. The procedure is in the owner's manual.
Programming with a Recognized Transmitter
A new transmitter can be programmed to the vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. For vehicles sold in Canada, two recognized transmitters are required to program a new transmitter.
1. The vehicle must be off.
2. Both the recognized and new transmitters must be with you.
3. Insert the vehicle key into the key cylinder located above the license plate.
4. Open the hatch/trunk.
5. Turn the key five times within five seconds.
6. The DIC displays READY FOR FOB #2, 3 or 4.
7. Place the new transmitter in the glove box transmitter pocket with the buttons facing the passenger side.
8. A beep sounds once programming in complete. The DIC displays READY FOR #3 or 4, or MAXIMUM NUMBER OF FOBS LEARNED.
9. To program additional transmitters, repeat Step 7. Press Acc. on the ignition switch if programming is complete.
10. Press (LOCK) on each newly programmed transmitter to complete the process.
