Which rear end?
I just bought my 2005 C6 with 29K on it.
It runs great. I owned a '97 C5 prior to this C6.
This C6 has the Z51 suspension and I would like to know what size rear end came in the A4.
I looked for the codes GU2=2.73 and G92= 3.15, but none of these are shown on the glove box sticker.
Did they have a different code for the C6?
Thanks

No, actually it was 2.56s.
The
only rear axle ratio for 2006 & 2007 automatics was a 2.56.
The 2.73 option (standard on automatic Z51 cars) didn't become available until the 2008 model year.

Typically because their gear ratios were steeper, so they could use a lower final drive ratio for fuel economy.

Yes I agree with the others the 05 Z-51 has a 3:15 ratio rear end. It's a great combination for a quarter mile car thats for sure.
