Escort 9500xi issues ?
My Escort 9500xi has failed...... again. This is the second in 4 months. The power cord must have some sort of defect, as that has been the issue with both units.
Has anyone else experienced this? When the cord is plugged in, it flashes the indicator lightes once, then nothing. The unit itself never powers up.
Guess I'd better find my receipt and read the warrenty.

The chances of you having two units with defective cords is lottery odds numbers....
I have a 9500ix with no issues at all...have had it since October of 2008....just the most early warning I have ever had using a radar detector....

Regarding the power fluctuations, I have seen cases where there was inconsistent power distribution through accessories like the lighter cord and folks have taken their vehicles in to have the voltage regulation system checked. The lastest occurrence was with an Avalanche.
