I've never heard of such a thing. I'll take a stab at it though:
First of all, are you sure it ONLY vibration and not heat? I'm sure you could either wrap the portion of the exhaust that comes close to the sensor if that would be feasable. not sure where the sensor is located.
It seems like either of these ideas might work. worth a try.

I have a complete Z06 exhaust shoe horned in my 2005 A4. It vibrates and rattles. The larger pipes would cause cause false knock from the noise & vibration ....... so I utilized header wrap to quite it down a bit..... seems to be working.

If it were heat related then changing from the bullets to the Z06 mufflers wouldn't cool down the cats or headers would it? How about the fact that it was triggered at a certain rpm?
Im still thinking to protect the sensor somehow. I was hoping someone that knows where its located could comment on a way to shield/isolate the sensor from the vibration.
I was having this issue(code C0196) and NO ONE could figure it out. When I removed the bullets for the Z06 cans it completely went away.
Its a long story. It would come on at 5k rpms even with the system turned off and in a straight line. Then when I took the exhaust off the car didnt do it under those conditions anymore. It did do it after turning the wheel to the left and to the right all the way.(3point turn). I then had the steering poss. sensor changed.
The only code I got while with the bullets were on was c0196(YAW sensor). That went away after I removed them. Right after that the SWPS crapped out.
All issues are gone. I wonder if it could have been the SWPS. Although It had not set a code for it. Maybe showing up through the yaw but was actualy the SWPS????
