Default Installed the Diablo Performance tune today!

I installed the tune from my U7191 Predator today on my 05. She's bone stock, except for mufflers and K&N drop ins. She runs like a scalded dog now. Updating the handheld was easy to the latest revision. I am very happy.

I have read some less than enthusiastic posts in reguards to this tuner but, I have to say, I am more than pleased with it. It took me less than 5 min. to install it and all I can say is she really moves now!

She's my daily driver so my engine mods are done.
Thanks for listening. Also, has anyone installed a full length spoiler using the stock bolts and double sided tape instead of drilling? I'm afraid to put holes in my car.
Jeff

I had great luck on a 2002 coupe with the Predator,i think some of the guys on here think it's too basic but it is easy to use, keeps most people out of trouble and it made a difference on my old car.

yes! I love mine too! very nice tool it can do alot, it would still be good to go to a "dyno nite" and see how it's doing. I had a bad knock around 4000 rpm, took it to a "diablo sport" tuner and had him mold it to my car

Curious is it seat of the pants horsepower or did you dyno it. I am thinking of the predator also and am curious about the gains.

It was seat of the pants horsepower. I may take a ride over to Diablo headquarters as I live 10 min from them. They're in Delray Beach, FL.

Should have spent the money on a custom dyno tune. There is no comparison between knowing what the car is actually doing and taking a wild guess at it. I have seen more then one car need a motor due to that exact product.

I'm sure you're correct. However, a Dyno tune runs about $500 and my Predator cost me $150 thanks to a fellow Corvette forum member.

My car is bone stock and I'm pretty sure they went middle of the road tuning in the Predator to be safe. The last gentleman said he picked up 23 hp plus another 10 hp after a custom tune. Those numbers aren't shabby.
Just IMO

Default Predator a great learning tool.

I used the predator when I got started. Learned much there as the car ran great. I did pick up about 25 RWHP . Assuming the car was 340rwhp from
the factory. When I tuned it with the predator the RWHP went to 365 and
I felt it and it dynoed 365 & 371 RWTQ. I since moved on to a more expensive unit as I did many things to the car. I am thinking about selling the U7194 PREDATOR . I have all the original stuff.

Thanks,
Jeff

you do know that you can do alot with the tool besides their tunes, you can modify parameters, get codes, you can even remove/install ANY tune

I know its a great scan tool. I had a shop try to scan my 2002 mazda and
it didn't work. they were confused. I went home and got my predator and
showed them my CEL code and it read it out and they were surprised. A
shop that installed my catbacks on my 07 vette got a cel their scanner
didn't work and tried to convince me its not that hard to get it into reverse. I got a predator , read the cel and found a blown fuse. Yes its a good tool.

With their help I did some data logging today and custom tuned my injector slopes to my car. Next I'll do some WOT logging and finish up. I love the customer service they give you on the phone or on their forum.
I had a friend tune my Solstice with the HP software and it was way to in depth for him. I highly recommend this product. IMO.
