I think you could power it up as a telescoping wheel only fairly easy. I would hate to try to figure out how to incorporate it into the memory and computer in general.

All I need is the info part number and the schematic. As long as the switch works and I can adjust it that's all I want no memory required at all.
What else did you have in mind.....just pull it in and out yourself while humming little motor noises?
Ah yea! you unlock it pull or push it to where you want it, and then lock it, or are you one of those auto guys who's left leg is to weak to push a clutch. they have a manual option for verts, whats soo.... unusual about a manual telliscoping steering wheel?

I have not seen a manual telescopic wheel since ?? My C3 or maybe it was the C4.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Let's see....I have a linch pin for my tractor that I'm not using. If you want to drill a few holes down the length of the steering column from one side to the other, I'll send you this pin and you can just slide it out to where you want it and run this pin through the holes.

I can't say I have ever met any man that is too weak to push in a clutch....unless you are one of those sick people that makes fun of handicapped people.

I bet you still have an 8-track tape player, don't you?

We'll have to use a washer to make The tractor pin stable. I had my Pantera measured for race position and that was great. Didn't have the option for the vette since I purchased it used. (Would have order the telescoping wheel if it was available to me. Got the bus wheels going up and down manually, (Standard on all vettes), wish it also had the in and out manual feature too.

I almost forgot. According to GM Parts Direct, the part number for a telescopic steering column is 19133743. Here is the schematic and a description of operation.
