Default sway bar problem, i need help

i ordered a set of z51 sway bars for my c6 coupe. i ordered pfadt bushings appropriate for the bars. the rear bushings fit perfectly, but the front brackets are not completely flush with the frame when i reach the appropriate torque on the bolts. i've verified the part number on the front bar as a z51 front bar, and it fits the bushings i have from pfadt perfectly, but it seems to me that the brackets should be flush with the frame. the bushing is oriented appropriately, by that i mean the raised portion of the bushing is in the groove and the flat side of the bushing is against the frame as well. did i get the wrong front bushings from pfadt????? is it normal for the bracket to not quite make contact with the frame with the pfadt bushings?. i'm not a master mechanic, but i did install my fusions on my own, so i'm not a complete idiot

You'll need to post some pics.

In the mean time, compare the stock Z51 bushings to the pfadts to verify they are identical.
