I plan to install mine this weekend. Did you keep the oem ****? I've got a black Hurst from Leea Customs on the stock shifter and it sits a little lower. With the MGW it's going to be pretty short. We'll see.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your shifter.

DeeDubya the pistol grip they sell fits very very nicely in the hand.

Has anyone replaced a shifter in an '09 yet with an MGW shifter? I am interested in your opinion vs. the stock shifter especially given the transmission change which is supposed to have improved the shifting experience.

I did.

It's MUCH improved. Get it. I'm not sure how I banged gears before I installed the shifter.. I felt like I was rowing a boat.

Maybe I was just that good!

69 days and a wake up for me here. I had a Hurst in my Z06 and not sure if I want an aftermarket shifter in my C6, I'd want to try a MGW before buying one.

is this it? http://www.mgwltd.com/corvette_short..._shifter.shtml

I've read in threads where they sell a 25% reduction shifter and a 35% reduction shifter but I dont see any option like that on this site.

Thats the one...to be honest, I didn't even ask about the reduction. People said it was great and they enjoy theirs, so I knew I wanted to try it and just called and ordered. Come to think of it, noone ever gave me an option. I will say this though, it is considerably shorter throw and feels great!

When I called and ordered mine I asked for the 35% one over the phone. This was a little over a year ago.
