Dumb question, is it OK to drive to the track with the tire pressure at 24-25 lbs? Or do you have to lower it at the track then boost it back up to 30 lbs. before you drive it back home? Also should we stick with 30 in the fronts?

I prefer to adjust tire pressure while I'm at the track but you are fine to drive with the lower pressure if you want. will just heat up the tires on the way there. Just don't try to corner like a maniac . I would put 32 in the front, but it don't matter as much.

i always had air in rears set at 24lbs hot, so when i started the car it read low tire pressure, after driving long enough to heat up to 24-25 lbs the tire was ready if i decided to hit the gas, no wheel hop or spinning sideways, like most o on cold tires

Sweet, is this the pressure I should run for Supercar tires too? Any tips on what launch RPM? I have an A6 with 2.56 gears and supercars.

Dennis, how did this effect tire wear and handling on the curves?

Well, I think he only lowers the pressure that much when he's going to the dragstrip.
