I started with a Vararam, 160 stat and a tune, netted 30 rwhp and was very happy with the added HP and better driveability. I just completed swapping out my intake and TB for some ported pieces from Spin and I am surprised how much of a difference I could feel, getting the car tuned on Wednesday to maximize my upgrades.

Reason: added info
My order of mods went like this....
Headers, intake, wheels with bigger tires, Z06 brakes, Vortech Super Charger. Everything was done with the goal of doing a S/C.
Next up meth inj, smaller pulley and when the engine gets nearing its life expectancy a forged stroker will take its place.
CAI, 160 T-Stat, Headers and a tune is a good "Stage 1" set-up. You'll pickup around 30 HP, a noticable gain in midrange torque, and improved part throttle response at low rpms. From there you can decide what to do next depending upon your wallet and goals.
Imho, supercharging is the way to go. Why waste time( & money) on all the nickel dime stuff that is just going to whet your appetite. Supercharging completely transforms the car into a rocketship. All the rest is just piecemeal steps.
