It's been about 3 years since this stupid code came on the display, but I was driving with My Daughter last week and while on the "FREEWAY", the Vette starts to shake a little and slows itself down then says "service active handling","traction control off"!!
I pulled over,,shut it down,,and started it back up with no further problems.
It was a little scary at 70 mph!
Any opinions would be appreciated!

I had similar occurence on my 05 (but not at 70 mph). Took it to the dealer who found a TSB on the subject. They downloaded and installed a computer reflash that fixed the problem. No recurrence in two plus years.
This, to me, is the biggest problem with corvettes. You take it to the dealer and its like chasing a ghost. I can tell you a horror story about it but lets think possitive. At least I didnt smash into a semi!
Mine (05) just did this today for the first time. Car won't run in 4th (auto) and when you accelerate it's like the tranny is slipping. It went away after restarting the car but I guess it needs to go to the dealer???
They have a Service Active Handling Service Bullitin out to install Clip, part #19179794, in SWPS connector, TSB #06-02-35-002B - (10/19/2007) A Code of DTC C0710. SWPS = "Steering Wheel Position Sensor". This clip prevents the moving and the loosening of the terminal connector and wire in the which can cause a high resistance condition. This can result in the possible loss of control of the car with the locking of brake(s)?
