I've seen other forum members pick up 20rwhp with the Z06 exhaust they did a before and after on the same dyno. And I do believe a tune is worth more that 5hp so if you get 30 hp from headers and a tune 25 of that isn't coming just from the headers alone.
I'm not putting down the Z06 headers. Don't know where this idea came from. Op asked about headers on a stock car. I think I've answered it twice. Most z06 people pick up 10 hp going to LTH period. The zr1 is supercharged. Different ballgame compared to a stock or a h/c cars for that matter. OP got a great deal on some headers. Is it worth it for him to go to LTH? For the expense to get 10-15 hp, no. Also, the topic was Z06 headers without a tune, remove 5 hp from your statement above and the Z06 header yielded 15 hp.

This car is a classic example of what I stated. LTH picked up 22hp, the tune 6 for a tolal of 28 hp. Dynos will vary a few but are usually pretty close.

I would think an LS3 would do just as well. The LS3 exhaust appears to be the same as the LS2, except for the optional NPP mufflers. I recently traded in the car for a 2009 coupe in the state of California. After replacing the non CARB K&N CAI with the stock unit, it passed their **** smog inspection/test without a problem. If I get my hands on another Z06 system I will put it on my new 2009.
Nice gains. Your number help support my statement. If the Z06 headers give you 15 hp, the Corsas are worth 5-10 and a few more from the retune, that 25-30. You got 30. The numbers that I use are not exact, but when combined with several other mods, the total will come with 5-10 hp every time, even when adding 100+ hp. The Z06 headers and exaust system offer a nice improvement in hp/tq for the money.

If you are going to mod your car for sound and power, do longtubes the first time around.
