I installed a Magnaflow catback, Halltech Killer Bee and Beehive awhile ago along with a 160 degree thermostat. It seemed to run OK but my fuel mileage has dropped. I had it dynoed and tuned today and here are the numbers:
Baseline 383.2HP 335.4TQ AF 10.3
After tune 390.5HP 379.5TQ AF 13.0
We also removed the dreaded skip shift and reset the fans.
I am pretty happy with the numbers.

Also have an '08 LS3. Installed SLP Loudmouth, Vararm CAI. Purchased a Diablo/Predator Tuner. Baseline 390 RWHP. AF 12/1. Downloaded Diablo Tune & tweaked fuel trim (leaner) & bumped the ign. timing. 403 RWHP, 400# trq. & AF 13/1. Each motor may be happier with different programs. Did you use a tuner programer?

Your mods should yield 20 hp, if you have an auto, it's right on. The tq. should be a little closer to the hp, and gas milage should not drop. With better breathing and less exaust restriction gas milage, if anything should improve or stay the same. The tune may be off.
The baseline was done after adding the Varam and Magnaflow and it was running pretty rich. Tuning was done with HP tuners and my tuner is fairly conservative. The pulls were also done in Florida with high temps and extremely high humidity.
They may not be the best numbers I have heard but they seem reasonable to me.

I'm assuming you have an auto. The base before mods should be(approx) 371/371. The Cai maybe 10 hp, the exaust 3-5 hp, so the base before tune one would expect 384/384. Your 383/335 show the tune was thrown out but the mods. The tune got you 7 hp and 44 tq. which is unheard of. Ideally you should be 391/391. Close enough. Fine tuning should get your milage back and maybe another 10 tq. Good luck.
390 is fine unless others are dynoing over 400 at the same dyno.
I see you are at 13.0. Did you try a slighter richer A/F and a little more timing? I've seen several tuners post that the LS3 likes to be a bit richer with more timing.
You tweak the fuel & timing to whatever makes the motor happier. On mine, more fuel & more timing produced slightly less power & occasional ping. Ended up with some ign. advance & a leaner mid-range fuel to end up with 403RWHP & 400# tq. with 13/1 AF. Any other fuel or ign. adjustments lost ground. Every motor can be different.
I know they vary, but 55 lb-ft of tq is, IMO, more than a "variation".
Maybe the horrible weather described in later posts could account for it.
Bob, he has an M6
With a m6 401/401 would be the norm. Looks like the tune is still lacking, maybe low octane gas? These numbers will vary + or- 10, so he's still in the normal range, just he's on the low side and we all want to on the high side.
I tend to be pretty conservative with my cars. I don't race anymore so I am more interested in overall performance, economy, and longevity. A stock baseline was never done. The 335TQ was after adding the mods with a pig rich AF. I am sure the stock TQ #'s would have been higher.
Past experience has shown me that there can be a difference in dynos even the same make and model operating down the street from each other. I might add long tubes at some point and it will be interesting to see the gains from that mod using the same tuner and dyno.

You have the right idea. Your new number are pretty much normal and the way the car runs is whats important. Adding mods using the same dyno will help eliminate confusion or doing a before and after on a new type. LTH typically produce 25 hp by themselves, with the aftermarket exaust already installed this will drop 5-10 hp for a net gain of 15-20 hp. Still a nice gain and the exaust note will be louder. Good luck and enjoy your ride.
