Toyo R888 or Nitto Invo
As of right now I have around 450rwhp. I have crappy continental tires that don't give me any traction. I can't decide between these two tires.
Will the INVOs be enough for my power level? The R888s I would be able to get come in 255/35 295/30 would these look and work fine with the stock wheel sizes?
The INVOs come in stock sizes and are cheaper so I am kinda leaning towards them. I don't go to the track just some spirited street driving. I just want to get the most out of the power I am putting down.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

The overall tire size of the R888 is almost the same as stock and will not interfer with active handling. You can search the Toyo website for the numbers and compare.Found my sheet, the tire sizes I was looking at were 265/35/18 and 305/30/19. My statement above reflects these sizes. Check thier website for the ones your looking at.BTW my wheels are LG world challenge chromes in 10x18 and 11x19.

Safety Car
Invos will not hold your power level in first gear and will probably not fully hold second gear. Tons of posts testify to that. Put "Invo" in the search and you'll get a lot of reviews. R888s will have much more stick in warm weather but you'll wear through them in about 10k depending your driving style and need for rain safety.

Right now I have Continental Sport 2s which I got when I bought the wheels. They are not that great as far as performance. I wonder how much improvment the invos would be compared to those. Anyone have any expierence?

i had a very hard time selecting tires last time around also. i was not very concerned with how long they would last but wanted a really good quality tire (one that would balance well. there are tons of posts on tire vibrations), lots of traction and a tire that would be good in the rain. (rains all the time in georgia). Invo's were high on my list but finally went with the Michelin PS2's. (non run flats)
i am not sure what gear you are running but you and i are making about the same power. i have a 3.90 and can not get good traction in 1st or
2nd even when it is HOT out. mind you i am not complaining. i think that is a great problem to have . overall i have to say i am extremely pleased with the PS2's and will buy another set when these wear out. i may just up the size from 285's /245's to 305's /275's.
if your car is lowered you may also want to look at the overall height of the tire you are getting compared to what you have now. they can vary by 1/4 inch or so which does not seem like much. however if you have your car lowered and like it exactly where it is now a 1/4 can make a difference.

Will the tire height look the same with the 255/35 395/30 as stock? I am thinking it will be pretty close since it is a wider tire which may make it look a little taller.....or am i completely wrong on this?
