Need help deciding what to do...
made me do it
Now my 1999 was nicely moded: Tuned, RPM level IV trans, RPM 3:90 Gear, Multidisc Lockup TC with a 2600 Stall, Headers, Corsa Exhaust, CAI...
Now I can't drive the new one stock so I have been trying to decide what to do with it. I have some questions and need some advice.
Here is what I want to do:
Headers ( I want to have CATs of some sort)
Exhaust (Best power, best quality)
Rear Gear and trans programming (RPM will be doing this for me)
Chassis Dyno Tune (Who is the best person to see for this? RPM is recommending someone from MI but do you guys know of a C6 pro?
CAI
Money is not an issue, I'm not trying to go low budget, I'll spend a little more to get more. Don't get me wrong, I will look for the best deal on the parts I decide on, but if the right brand of part is 20% more than the closest competition, I could car less. I want best quality and max power. I also want it to sound and run good. I don't care about fuel economy but I do get emission tested.
I was thinking of Vararam for the CAI, Corsa or B&B for the Exhaust, Kooks or B&B for the headers... What do you guys think?
Am I missing something? Should I put a Cam in it or a differant intake manifold? Will I benefit from an upgraded MAP sensor?
I don't want to go too crazy as I have only put aside about $7,000 to make it more fun.

If it's those mods... you can't go wrong with any of the name brand long tube headers or CAI, and the catback is just a preference on sound. I like the Corsa. Very clean European, mean sound. Some people like the B&B or the Borla because it's deeper. Just listen to them all on youtube (there are thousands of videos) and pick one you like.
Personally, if I had a supercharger kit, I would not be happy with 500ish whp, especially since I can get that with bolt ons and a cam. You're gonna need at least long tube headers, decent catback and a meth kit to get mid 600s. Then there are tires cause you're gonna need 'em

But if you don't want to go extreme, then a stall converter and some gears will be your biggest bang for buck, followed by exhaust and tune.

1. You can not (Easily) remove the top and that is one of my favorite features.
2. It does not come with an auto. My wife will have a fit if she can't drive it so it must have an AUTO. RPM would charge me around $13K to put in a 6spd Paddleshift. Combine that with the $80K for the car with the options I want and I might as well buy a ZR1 and tell the wife to **** off.
3. It is not the best bang for the buck. For the money and the reasons I just listed above I can buy an auto coupe (as I did) and spend half the differance making it faster than the Z06. The LS3 gives you 430hp where the Z06 get you 505. I can spend a lot less money and get an additional 75hp. I can care less about the better handling, all that equates to is a rougher ride. I do not road race, so I don't need it. I do like the better braking system though. But that too can be added.
The only thing I don't get is braging rights for having a Z06; big deal...

I also want the gear and the exhaust. What good is the SC if it doesn't throw you back in the seat and it sounds like a Buick???

He also makes great cams. Give them a call and they can explain all the cam options.
