I have an 06 with aftermarket rims with TPS' from a 2000 Vette. The rims were on a 2000 that I sold in April. I put the rims on the 06 last week and the TPS' will not reset to show the air pressure and keep showing flat tire codes etc. I still have the 06 TPS" , will they have to be installed in the rims for the air pressure readings to work? Or can the 2000 sensors be reset to work on the 06?
As far as I know the TPS sensors are specific to certain years. I'm pretty sure the units in the 2000 rims will not work with your C6. One of the techs will chime in with the correct year(s) that will work. Your '06 units should work but you might need a special tool to get them set up again. Most tire shops have the tool. There may be a small charge to reset them. Good luck with the project.

You can't use the 2000 sensors. The type of sensor changed for the 2005 and up model year. If you use the '06 sensors, you don't have to reset them if you install them in the same position on the car.
