Gm Performance Exhaust & Borla the Same?

Gm Performance Exhaust & Borla the Same?
I tried searching for this and know I read it before: Is the GM Performance Exhaust w/the Round Cans the same as Borla Stingers in Sound and Performance?

GM performance off road exhaust = Borla Stingers. Only differences are that the mufflers say "GM Performance" and the tips have the Corvette logo and "GCA" (genuine Corvette accessories). Just make sure that whatever you get is listed as the off road version. The normal GM performance exhaust is a relabeled version of the more mild Borla system.

I've had both Borla stingers and Gm Performance off-road and the GM performance aren't quite as loud as the stingers.. i'm not sure why because they look identical but there's not near as much drone and they're a tad mellower.. could be a fluke in the ones I have.. ???

Mine are loud, ridiculously loud. I know it's a terrible way to compare, but I've listened to a few youtube clips of the Borlas on C6s (mostly LS2's) and I think my GM performance off road is even louder (on an LS3). The thing just sounds angry. It drones, burbles and pops on decel too.
That's funny.. Maybe someone packed some brillo pads down in mine or something.. I know the stingers I had were insane and burbled and popped as well..

I spoke with a Borla rep at Carlisle who told me what I had already learned on other forums: Borla manufactures the GM GCA Off Road and Performance systems to GM mandated specs which are different from Borla's. They look the same visually on the outside, but are not identical. Hope this helps some of the confusion.
