Default Water Pump

Can anyone tell me how big of a job it is? My 2006 with 10,000 mi. has developed a leak, looks to be coming from the left side water pump mounting flange!

See if you can snug it down. Worst case a new water pump.

Already done that ! I ck. to see how tight they were, and they seemed tight enough. However i did snug them alittle more hoping it would seal up or slow down to no avail. It's not coming from the typical place buy the shaft as far as i can tell. just a small stream dribbling down the left front side of the eng.

Default Water pump woes

If you find it necessary to replace, you may want to install a Mezziere electric water pump and a lower temp stat. It'll bring your temps down and get rid of parasitic drag at the same time. I got a 160* stat with the Mezziere and it brought my running temps down 30 degrees. I never like looking at the temp gauge and seeing 210-220* when getting caught in a long traffic jam in the summer. I also installed a hi-capacity DeWitts radiator and ALL the temps came down.
