Questions about tunnel plate install
1. Do most people install the plate over the original plate or simply replace it? Are there pros/cons to each method? For example, the LG plate mentions that there are two holes so that you don't have to cut your original, yet it says "direct replacement."
2. Since the plate is thicker, is it recommended to buy longer bolts? I know the 1/4" ones advertise using factory bolts, but would it be wise to change them? If so, what length/size have you used? Hardware-store it?
3. Is a torque wrench necessary for installing this piece or recommended? I only ask as I will likely have an exhaust shop throw this on with my cat-back since my Dad is opting out of helping me, even if I drive to Austin. Thought we could have a bonding session over the holidays.

4. Kind of off-topic, but if I'm not having any welding done, how much should I pay a shop to throw my cat-back on? Will likely be the Borla multicore.
2.The factory bolts work just fine you do not need new ones.
3.No its not necessary but it could not hurt to use one.
4.Around $150.00
Hope this helps and the new plate will make your car more rigid and helps lower the heat in the center council and helps remove some of the popping and squeaking sounds from the car.
