I'm not sure if I can answer any questions, I just had the LS7 clutch & LS2 Flywheel installed in my 01 C5.

I can confirm the pedal feel is similar to the outgoing clutch, the release however is right off the floor.

I was told the release will improve .......makes no sense to me other than I hope so.

Thanks guys, I bit on a new spec 3 clutch. There was just no other option for me at the price(400 shipped). Since I will be racing the car at the strip, I figured I will just have to do more squats and leg presses at the gym to compensate for the extra pressure!

I am having it put in at Henderson Performance in New Braunfels next Wed.

You have air in the hydraulics. You need to disgorge that air to get the engagement point back to center-third of pedal travel. Common problem post clutch install. You can bleed the hydraulics using the correct procedure, or you can repetitively swap the fluid in the reservoir with driving between swaps. Both will get rid of the air.

I'm willing to try anything as I find this situation tough to accept.

A new slave & remote bleeder were installed at my request at the same time.

I was at the installing shop running the clutch pedal for the first bleed & was told the low release was normal......whom am I?

Returning home I had the wife in the car for several more attempts with no improvement. I had her pump the pedal 20 - 30 times & repeated this process.

I see from your profile that a Mitty Vac vacuum bleed is suggested following a complete fluid change. I will try this!!
