Sparatically I am getting an error recently when shutting my car off that there is no FOB in range and sometimes it won't let me in the car right away. I tried both remotes and get the same problem so I am thinking it is something within the car. Anyone run across this problem or know the cause?

It could be the car, but it could also be radio interference. Could something in your environment be causing the problem?
I discovered that the receiver in my garage door opener was jamming my Corvette's keyless entry system. Whenever the car was parked in the garage, only about one in three attempts to open the driver's door would succeed. Then I switched off the circuit breaker to the garage door opener and the problem instantly went away.
You don't say what year it is but I suspect that it is older than 4 years so the battery needs to be replaced in both FOBs. You can always put the FOB in the glove box holder to start the car but the battery is cheap and easy to replace so that is the first thing I would do and have done.
