I already have a 02 trans am with headers/cam and I'm not looking to go that route with my new vette. Im hoping to just be around 450-470 hp in it after a few bolt on mods. Just keeping it simple for this car.
It will be a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport A6. I've already ordered the following items:
B&B Bullet Muffler System
B&B Off Road X-pipe
Halltech Killer Bee Intake System w/Bee hive
Your gonna need a little more than that to hit 450rwhp. Its damn near impossible to do that with bolt on only unless you go bannanas and do headers ported fast ported tb gears tune meth injection you get the picture.
30+RWHP w/just an axleback, no cat, air filter and a tune? Don't think so.
My '05 added 46 RWHP w/headers, axleback, CAI, ported intake and a tune and was pretty much typical, ended @ 386 RWHP on a Dynojet SAE, smoothing 3.
I can agree with that. Im not expecting to pic up those kinds of gains however. Im not looking for 30 rwhp. Just around 30 hp at the crank. Around 15-20 rwhp if you must, I think those gains are reasonable.

Thanks. Is a tune really necessary with just a change of exhaust and intake system? I went years with just have an intake and exhaust on my ss and ws6 with no problems and could somewhat feel a difference in power. Now they both definently needed tuned after the headers.

You could possibly through a code, but I wouldn't think so since the factory tunes are so rich.

On my stock ls2. Corsa sports and Hallteck intake and a basic tune netted me 20 rwhp and 18 rwtq. The ls3 should be very close to that.
