Default 11 second c6 a6 ls2 2.56

Has anyone broken into the 11's with bolt-on's and tuning w/ls2 a6 2.56?
I got the tune on a back up pcm and have not changed the cam, trying to save my warranty.
So far, I gone 12.32@116.77 (into a 15mph headwind) on stock tires, with headers, exhaust, vararam, 160 stat and a generic, no dyno tune from Bryan Herter at pcm for less.

Im pretty sure some have. I know for a fact that show room stock on some of these have seen the 11's. Check the list it should give the fastest times with all the included mods that were on the car during that run.

Well, not exactly fact as only LS3s have done that but no LS2s...he did specify LS2s and not LS3s.

Did you say stock tires? There is some more to be had with your set up adding tires. Especialy if you break traction on 1st to 2nd shift, if you dont then get a retune. Even going to invos helped me. Im in miami with no cartek. I should be at 12.0x after my retune. I dont have a cam, stall, gears, fast or DRs. Thats what some of the faster guys have, rocketing them into the tens.

Oh and drop the headwind..

the point is LS1LT1 went into the 11s pretty far, and martysauto is 20 minutes from my house, if he wants a ride LS1LT1 is down here all the time, and i dont see anyone in the 10s with bolt/ons without Cartek

Let me start by saying congratulations to you for being at the top of the fast list! LS1LT1 is right under you.

You are right. There is no one in the tens without cartek. However there are people with them, not in the tens as well.

I think the OP just wanted to get to the 11s(for now I'm sure). So do I with similar mods. Tires are important too as you pros know. I suggested that he get a retune as well IF he wasn't breaking traction on 1st to 2nd shift. If it could be from cartek then great but I would be interested to see him go into the 11s with just a retune, stock tires and no porting.

I wanted my car tunned by them but didn't have the option.

He can go 11's with his mods.

The next time out I plan on hitting 11s with just K&N intake, Headers, Borla mufflers and tuning.

Last time out it went 12.1 at 118mph in 1800 DA about a month ago.

Now it's closer to -400ish DA at night and it should hit 11's without any problem. We'll find out in 2 weeks when I get back to the track.

I assumed your question of boltons to simply mean intake/exhaust cars with 2.56's in the 11s.

It's EEEAASSSYYY to get these cars in the 11s with all boltons (a good torque converter will drop you near a half second alone).

No, I have nitto drag radials.....on the stock converter they arent really helping much on the launch (low 1.9 60s) but they keep me from going into the wall on the 1-2 shift

not for to much longer though, i just hope my off time, the track being open and the a great DA all line up just right.

back to the OPs ? im in the low 11s but i do have 3.42 gears and a 3600 yank stall. i do belive with full bolt-on (not counting gears and stall) you can get mid to high 11s because i ran a best of 12.18 with just headers, cold air, and tune on stock tires.

good luck

Dickey, is a cam a bolt on needed in your mention of mid 11s?

By the way, Im rooting for you to hit the tens but hoping to catch up one day.. even if it's in a Z.

I made it down to an 11.70 with stock manifolds and stock converter so even with 'the more basic' bolt ons a solid mid 11 is definitely possible in an LS2.

Not sure exactly sure what you're asking here but dicky still has a stock cam and of course any aftermarket cam/valvetrain upgrades are not considered 'bolt on' items.

So what kind of HP does a C6 with an A6 LS2 & 2.56 gears need to get into the high 11's? Again with just bolt-ons.

Depending on location/air temps, 340rwhp is actually enough but having over 360rwhp would allow it to happen more consistently.

I have 372 but can't break the 11s!? I'm in Miami though(humid).

LS1LT1 also had the fastest run on a stock ls2.

I need DRs for sure.

My bad about the cam, I got confused. I am no expert but I also try hard not to be misleading in my posts.

Tires help.

if you wait for the right weather you should be able to pull it off, i meet a guy at PBIR last year with just headers, cold air, and tune (not sure what brands or who tuned it) and he was pulling 11.9s all night but it was about 55 degrees.

if you do use drag radials try to run them with about 35psi because i tried them one time with about 20psi and my 60's were not any better that what i got with my runflats. i was told to try the 35psi because the tm comes into effect when i was running the 20psi, so just give it a try should help out.

no problem about the cam, my goal is to have a nice smooth stock idling/ sounding car (most everybody thinks if its quiet then its not fast) run 10s.

Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid, what the h___ is DA?

The trans tuning sounds great, but, with the tcm being in the trans and a pain in the but to change I am kind a stuck with what I got. I don't want to give up that powertrain warranty.

p.s. my car has a weight handicap - me 265lbs. need about 10 more horsepower to go the same times as the average size guy.
