I own a 2005 C6 Coupe M6, and I was just wondering what recalls were published for it? I've noticed the targa top is starting to crack down the sides, and I heard there was a recall for this. The car has 12,500 miles, and I find it odd for this to happen. Thanks for any help with this question!
On the earlier build 05s, there is a Crank Puley Bolt recall (pre-dec 04 build)
All of the 05s have a recall on the Targa, the dealer will re-glue it.
Early build 05s also have a recall on the break lines, not sure on the build range.
And a reflash on the ECM hoping to solve the mysterious Dead Battery Syndrome on some of the 05s...
Anything else,,,, anyone??

One correction is that the crank pulley bolt was not a recall, it was a service bulletin but that does not imply free repair out of warranty.
There have been several other Service Bulletins on the '05 C6....two that come to mind are replacement of the differential fluid if the clutch packs exhibit noise on sharp turns & hard engagement of 1st gear on some M6 transmissions. Best bet is to make nice with the Service Manager at a local dealer & ask him to print out the bulletins. I've had my '05 since new & have never received a true Recall notice.

MY BATTERY JUST WENT DEAD THIS AFTERNOON! I was wondering what that was all about... Really pissed me off when I tried to start my car.
Early 05s (pre March 05 build dates)...TSB on over pressurization of AC system causing to over pressure switch to shut down AC. Fix... release .5lbs of AC refrigerant and all is well
The only recall I received on my 05 in the three years I owned it was for the top delamination inspection, reglue or replace depending on what the inspection revealed.
Not a recall per se, but if you have the NAV radio, it may need to be reflashed to get rid of static, to activate the ability to play MP3 Cd's, and to allow installation of the iPod PAL. There is a VIN number break on which earlier 2005 cars need the fix.
