Power programmer to scan check engine light codes.
My check engine light is on in my 2006 Z06. The dealer is about 40 minutes away so if this works that would be nice. I have a hypertech power programmer I got for my 98' Silverado. Will that plug into my corvette and scan its code and give me the code number so I can look it up or will it screw anything up or not do anything?

The hypertech units I have had in the past did not have the scan function. Don't know if your unit does. The predator programer will scan and reset codes as will the auto x ray.

Might want to go see them before you spend money. They will give you a print out of what the code was and list of solutions on how to fix the code (what is to be checked to fix the code)
