Default 2008 tsb list

I have been an enthusiast and owner for 25 years. Just bought a 2008 pace car convertable. I am looking for the tsb for the rear end noise and others that apply to the 2008. This car has the z51 system.
Thx

Default Rear End noise

There a couple of threads on this, and I've seen one more TSB number than what is listed below. The dealer didn't even look at the TSB's, but dealt with the clunking only. Surprisingly, tightening up the nuts made a big difference in the feel of the car. The (automatic) shifts seem much smoother and quicker. The whole thing feels much better. The clunking was not that noticeable, but I am glad that I took it in. I figured that it was still under warranty and I had a hard time finding that large socket. (The TSB uses Loctite as well).

Copied:

Two diff problems
From the threads and from my own experience (today) there seem to be two separate problems with noise from the back end. The clunking, loose sound when getting on/off the gas at slow speed was due to loose axle nuts. The grinding churning sound while making tight turns I believe is due to the diff. fluid. I got the dealer to fix one but not the other. This is from the the C6 tech forum:

One of the TSB was for a different oil for the differentials which has an additive included in it and the other TSB is for changing the axle nuts applying locktite and retorquing the nuts. Most of the backlash was coming from my right rear in which the nut had backed off some. After these two TSB's was applied to my vehicle it has no backlash nor does it has chatter. For now the problem is solved.

I bought an OBD2 scanner last night for my 2007 Tahoe showing a SES/MIL lamp. www.canobd2

Diagnosed that and noticed that the manufacturer provides (what I assume to be) a comprehensive list of TSB's.

I entered the Vette's VIN and the listing of TSB comes up for the 2008 C6. Copied them into the linked Word file FYI.

Enjoy.

(Right click on link below, select "save target as" and type a change to the file extension from .zip to .doc or .docx for it to open in Word).

Looks like the 2 referenced in Post #3 above are:

6/6/2008 08-04-20-003: Half Shaft (Drive Axle) Nut Appears To Be Loose - (Jun 6, 2008)
1/9/2008 07-04-20-002A: Rear Axle Clunk and/or Chatter Type Noise on Turns (Drain/Refill Rear Differential Fluid) - (Jan 9, 2008)

Not sure why the numbers don't match, but the syntax on the attached link is more in line with the GM TSB syntax I'm recalling.
