Can the C6 shift **** be threaded ??

Hi...Can the C6 shift **** be threaded to 9/16-18 thread ?? Seems a bit loose to get a good thread in there.
Anyone else do it or put an insert in ??

Im sure with a tap and die kit you could get it done. I made a custom tap for my bar using one...its easy
