Default Navigation system w/MP3 CD player

I have a 2008 C6 w/Navigation and cannot get the CD player to work with MP3's. I want to make an MP3 CD that can hold 150 songs, but cannot get any I have made to advance to next song, or stop repeating the same one over and over again. I have tried everything I and the dealer know, but still cannot get the unit to play properly. I have tried my CD in another C6 and it does the same thing. The CDs work well in both of my other cars, but neither is a GM.

Has anyone else run into this situation, and if so, how do I remedy it?

Sincerely,

Rap

in general corvette Audio/Electronic forum. It has a "How To" link that spells out how to burn a disk to play in a C6.

Nothing wrong with the radio, its just particular about format of mp3 disks. Once you burn the correct format, it will work just fine.

Thanks for the reply, but I can't find where you are directing me to, and if I was there, I couldn't find the link you are referring me to. Can you be more specific as to how to find it? Sorry for any inconvenience, but I would like to get this squared away once and for all.

Have you ever had the same problem? If so, what format should I be using to accomplish this task?

Hi

In my experience, it was the length of the tracks names. If you reduce each title to less than or equal to 25 characters (including spaces) then the CD will function alright.

Dont quote me on the 25 number...this is what I remember and you can check the manual and the experience from the guys who did that.

Good luck,
Khalid
