2005 differential help needed
I have a 2005 MN6 Corvette, it is a european spec car. Fearing the destruction of the differential on hard launches, I've ordered a DTE strut kit. Until yesterday (we tried to install it) I did not know, that the european cars have a differential oil cooler installed, which is obviously in the way (see attached pictures, sorry for the quality). I've tried to contact DTE, but they did not respond yet, so here are my questions, maybe you tech gurus know the answer:
1., Is the EUR spec differential the same as the U.S. one, so will I still have to fear destroying it? ( we only managed to see one casting number on it 6250044290 )
2., If yes, the only way we could install the kit would be to cut down the end of it, so at the driver's side bottom at the end it would not be secured by the last screw. Is it advisable, or would it be a new problem in terms of the integrity?
