Are these even worth the cost? Will it really give me an extra 10-12rwhp? So if I am at 443 I will be closer to 453 even tho I am an auto? Anyone here give me some useful info or insight?
I can't comment on actual HP gains on the C6, but electric water pumps are popular with street rodders. I'm running a Meziere 35 GPM on the 383 SBC stroker in my 37 and I really like it. It looks good on the front of the engine and all I run with belts are the alternator and A/C compressor. Coupled with an electric fan, I can cruise all day and never have cooling problems. I have to believe not running the pump with a belt results in an appreciable HP gain.

it will add some HP anytime you take something off the crank pulley altho i could see other ways to spend the money to gain that kind of power. aAlot of drag race guys run them so they can circulate the coolant and cool down the engine while waiting during races without running the engine. Any accesory you dont have to run you will gain HP, good luck
Well I am trying to think of what else I could add that is in that price range that will give me some added HP. I already have H/C/I, CAI, Headers, Tune, Xpipe. What else is there?

I run a Mezziere electric water pump on my 06 Z51 and I love it. Aside from reducing parasitic loss, it keeps a constant flow of coolant even while idling in a August traffic jam. I also run a 160* stat so my operating temps on average run about 175*. There's an additional thing that I like about it and that is: It has a constant buzz while the engine is running and you can feel it more than you can hear it. I also run Pfadt mounts so the vibration is passed-on to the chassis. I would be skeptical about claims of extravagant horsepower gains from aftermarket companies who sell bolt-ons altogether, though. Oftentimes, those claims are exaggerated. Overall, however, the electric water pump is well worth the while for much more than rear wheel horsepower.

I don't have many places I can go to get more HP and still be N/A so I just installed the Meziere EWP last night...time will tell whether this was a smart thing to do. I haven't put it on a dyno yet but have no doubt it has to have had some positive impact on hp.
What I did notice right away is, the coolant temps are down on average about 10 degrees...this is one of the things I was looking for from the change. The stock pump only gets to EWP flow rate of 55 gallons when the engine gets to 4000 rpm. Obviously if you spend considerable time above 4000 rpm the EWP might not be as effective at cooling as the stock pump.
BTW, the EWP weighs 5 lbs more than the stock pump.

Left me stranded at Wal-Mart within 3months on the car and <1k miles on the pump
Meziere coudlnt explain to me "why" it went out but did replace so I...............
Sold it! :o
Did you have Meziere's harness for the pump? ( cost's $75 bucks ) Use it with the pump and you will never have an issue!! I haven't heard of a Meziere's unit ( water pump ) ever failing. I have one with the harness, it works and works well when you have it hooked up right..The unit itself is bullet proof..
