Default Check engine with cats removed

I have an 06 with a Borla exhaust without the cats. I recently installed an o2 simulator to replace the rear o2 sensors. I still get a check engine light. My mechanic hooked up his scanner and the simulator is working(I think), it is sending a signal of 300Ma - 800Ma but it never stops fluctuating so the computer still thinks the cats aren't working properly. Are there different kinds of o2 simulators, or is there another way to keep the chk engine light off?

No cats or aftermark HiFlo cats the only solution seems to be to have a Tuner "adjust" the ECM to get rid of the CEL.

there are several tuners out there, are there any specific ones that allow you to change that specific setting or is that something a dealer needs to do?

I'll guarantee no dealers will do it!

As stated previously, you need a tuner. The Diablo Predator use to do it, but the EPA won't let them do it any more either.

But there is a guy on diablosport's forums who will update your predator tune to have the rear cat delete in it for free. His name is montess or something close to that. You will have to have the usb cable and power cord for the predator so you can upload and download tunes to it through your computer. You would have the ability to remove the tune any time you might take it to a dealer.

Have someone tune your car. Not only will they be able to eliminate your check engine lite, but they can adjust your timing and air / fuel mixture for maximum performance. They can also adjust your shift points on an automatic transmission, eliminate your 1-4 upsift on a manual trans, change your cooling fan turn on @ different coolaant temps. Best thing you can do to enjoy your car!
