Just want to say thanks to everyone in advance for all your help and tech support. I finally picked up a 08' Machine Silver with 6400 miles. I have been down the road in several f-bodies and C4's but this C6 is far superior. I want to start with the simple bolt-ons that won't affect the warranty. I guess you all know what the best bang for the buck is when it comes to intake and exhaust. I'm willing mod and stay under warranty. So lets hear it

I would leave the car stock if the warranty is an issue; it's already a great car with plenty of heart.

If you do not have the NPP exhaust, that is a nice option, and it won't hurt the warranty. You might also find that the MGW shifter will make the overall driving experience a little more fun. You can ask your local dealership to do the installation; sometimes it pays to keep them in the loop, just in case.

Enjoy the car! I love mine.

I am still coming up to speed but i have found that working closely with your local GM shop (make sure they sell lots of vettes because these guys do alot of aftermarket tweaking) and talk to the guy that handles most of the Vettes. He will tell you what you can and can't do and he will do the work for you too.
Good luck.
My engine's warranty is void but you know what.....I don't care. Too much fun and you only live once!

If warranty is a concern you better stay away from mods period. Times are differnt now than just 2 years ago when you could get away with a lot!

I did mods on my 2006 C6 one year I bought it new and never looked back. I have been very happy with that decision. If you are worried about the warranty, you may want to wait until your warranty runs out.

These are fantastic cars no matter what you decide. Just have fun!

I was under the false impression that CAI and cat-back systems would not affect warranty. Thanks for your input, everyone.

The exhaust won't and the CAI "shouldn't" but you never know.

The mods I would do to keep warranty is gear ratio, mgw shifter, better seats and coilovers.

The C6 is using regular coil springs or still sprung with a mono leaf? I like the seats for now but in comparison to the seats in my C4 they could use a little more padding. What gear gear ratios are available for the C6? I know it came with 3:42 performance axle.

It uses a leaf spring suspension stock. A good ratio to go with would be 3.9 or 4.1.

I'm guessing the coil overs will enhance the handling and give better suspension tuning. A 3.9 ratio would be just right to keep the LS3 in its power band and help pull the car from a dig. 3.9 is not to much or little for the highway. Thank you so much for all you intel.
