I have a question that I hope some of you guys can give your opinons on. I recently bought some GFG 20" wheels and tires for 1/4 the price that will go on my C6 Base w/Z06 quarter panels. The wheels werent custom made for my offsets, however I thought I can make them work. I was wrong, I calculated the front wheel offset incorrectly. For some reason I thought the Z06 front wheels were 18.9.5 with a +40mm offset. The wheels I bought have a 9" width and a +45mm offset. Well I checked my aftermarket Z06 front wheels and discovered they are +57mm offset. Well when I put these weels on, they stuck out from the fender a good inch. It looks obvious they stick out but I really dont think they look that bad.
The wheel calculator says it a 17mm extension compared to the stock wheel offset. What do you guys think of 17mm extension, is this too much, would the car look silly? The rear wheels aren't bad, 3.5" lip with a +48mm offset, I just need a 3/8" spacer or go with a 1/2" spacer and longer studs.

see if you can get a machine shop to mill the mounting hub surface, if you look at the stock front and rear rims you can see the difference in thickness so the offset was mad there, maybe not in the rims you have now but might work
A machine shop? Any machine shop? hmmm These wheels' mounting sections are very thick. Is this safe from a strength stand point? I dont know material spec's or loads, so I can't do any FEA simulations, hehe
Thanks for that advise.
Plus, the wheel calculator shows an inner wheel housing clearance of 5mm more than stock...I there anymore room that I can get inside the housing? Thanks
