Tonight when I started to drive the car I noticed that the high beams and the fog lamps were on. I tried to turn them off, but they stayed on! Stopped the car and checked the manual in case I was missing something but there was no miracle cure. Does anyone have any ideas, or do I have to go ahead and make an appointment with the dealer. There is not that much to it, push lever forward, high beams stay on, pull back to flash, but in my case they are always on. Have not seen this reported in the Forum. Any help is very much appreciated.
Are you saying that both your high beams and fogs are on at the same time? If so, that's not suppose to happen. When the high beams are activated the fogs will automatically be shut off unless you bypass this feature with a little re-wiring.
Are the low beams on as well? Have you done any kind of modifications to the lighting system at all?
Thanks for responding, yes, both the high beams and fog lights are on at the same time and I can't turn them off, and the low beams are on as well. I have not done any modifications to the lights at all. Very frustrating!
try resetting the battery, I had the same problem with my interior lights
Yes, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect .... just like rebooting your 'puter.... Has worked on several electrical issues I have run across.

Well just remember...the BCM controls a lot of functions including the lights of the car. I don't know if it's the cause but if nothing else works it might be something worth looking into.

The dealer diagnosed a faulty BCM and they are replacing it under warranty. Will get the car back tomorrow. Not a problem they had seen before, that's for sure! Sparo, you were right on track!
