Alternate tire sizes?

Default Alternate tire sizes?

I am looking at going to wider tires on the C6. I looked at a diameter calculator and the following sizes seem to be the closest even though they are about .2 shorter both front and rear. Anyone recommend something else?

265/35-18 on 18 x 9.5 wheels
305/30-19 on 19 x 11 wheels

a 295/35 is much closer to the OEM 285/35 on the rears (it is less than 1/4" larger in overall diameter).

The 305/30 is 0.64 inches SMALLER in overall diameter - quite a bit. I know a lot of guys run the 305 tire cause it is wider and lower, but in this case the the 0.64 inches reduction will result in your car sitting 0.64/2 = 0.32 inches lower, and you will lose 0.32 inches in the wheel well giving your car the appearance that it has been "raised" because of the gap between the top of the tire and the fender. If you then want to compensate for this, you need to lower the car even more...

By going with the 295/35 tire you only lose 10 mm of width and the fender looks much more "full" - like you lowered the car.
