08 Z wire question?

08 Z wire question?
Had the body shop take the rear bumper off cause some asshat decided to hit it while I was parked. I went and checked out the car today and there's a green wire that runs along the top portion of the rear tub and it just terminates mid air. It's just like hanging there. No clue whether it was cut or its supposed to be like that so I guess I thought I'd ask on here.
What is that green wire for?
