Magnaflow cans for C6
Can I replace the OEM muffler with Magnaflow cans? I saw something on past posts but can not find it now. I want to improve the exhaust tone, no resoncance and not a lot of money. I want to just clamp in or weld in the cans to keep costs down.

DON'T DO IT!!!! I did, it sucked! There was mucho "drone" and it drove me nuts. There are ways to do it without spending big $$$$, do a search for NPP or Z06 systems and then compare costs. I did Magna, hated the drone and went (later)) with Z06. Love it and the choice of loud or quiet.

Magnaflow #14336 (2.5" in and 2.5" out) are a weld in replacement that are much lighter and louder than stock BUT you'll have drone at cruising speed. I bought mine at a local exhaust supply house.

I installed the same cans but there is A LOT OF DRONE. I get complimented every time I drive my car on the sound, and it does sound mean but I really had enough of it. Look at borla or corsa or z06.
