clutch shim

I would like to see a pcture of a shim and i's installed location. Friend had his clutch replaced and now releases right at the floor. I have looked at the service manual but did not see shim details

?????? The slave cylinder is in the bell housing and the transmission is bolted to the differential, that would be a THICK shim (about 3 feet?).
