Default Another Key Fob Programming Question

I tried to do my research this time before posing this question.

I keep finding threads on programming fobs IF you have an additional working fob. I just have the one fob...

If I change the battery (which I also dont know how to do) how do I go about re-programming?

Thanks!!!

If it works and you change the battery, it will still work after the new battery.

I don't know how to reprogram the key fobs, but to change the battery you just pop the fob open and swap it.....or better yet you find a Batteries Plus or similar shop and give them $7 for a new battery and they'll do it for you.

pointer, yep.. look at it.
The top where the key ring goes thru it, has a little opening gap for you to use a flat head screwdriver. just gently open it a little, then slid the screwdriver around it and it will pop open, its real easy.
My battery is a CR2450 for my 2000 C5.

Once I figure out how to program it, i'll post again.

On the '05 -'07 fob, a nickel is the perfect prying device to open the fob. The battery is a CR-2032, which is about the size of a quarter, available at almost any big store near you....supermarket, target, Walmart etc. $3.

No programming is necessary after replacing the fob battery or even the car battery. If you ever need to re-program fobs, my fob programming instructions are in the FAQ section here:
